Our story
In January of 2023, Garett and I (Tess) purchased our very first home, the farmhouse fixer upper of our dreams. The Heman farmhouse has a rich and local history. As early Femme Osage settlers, these hardworking family farmers worked this and neighboring farms and their heirs continue to do so. Garett & I are fortunate to have a hand in preserving the 120 year old farmhouse, remembering the names, sharing their stories all while continuing the farming legacy with our family flower farm.
As we chip away at our renovation, I along with the help of two fierce, motivated, women (my mom and aunt) work to fill the landscape with color. I am who I am because of the women who raised me and their gardens. My experience with flowers has been an enlightening journey of connection. Connecting with myself, my family, community, and nature. Flowers have the ability to heal and it's my intent to share that gift will all of you through Vioma.

At Vioma Gardens, we not only indulge in the beauty of locally grown flowers but also support a crucial flower movement. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, more than 80% of flowers in the U.S. are imported from other countries. It is our mission to bring blooms back to the local level in an effort to reduce the use of harsh chemicals fertilizers, toxic pesticides, and fossil fuel pollution that imported flowers pose.
Sustainable Practices.
On the farm we prioritize sustainable techniques that nurture the environment. These techniques include the use of organic fertilizers, natural pest management, companion planting and water-conscious irrigation. We invest in our local ecosystem by implementing native plants and supporting our beloved pollinators. Our sustainable efforts don't end at harvest - our arrangements are bundled with recycled and repurposed materials!
